PREACHING AT FOX ISLAND UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST

Chaplain Jen Rupp

Jen was born in Bellingham and raised in a military family, has said many hellos and goodbyes throughout life, and has met many beautiful people, animals, and places.  Jen was raised in the United Methodist Church and made her way to the UCC during seminary.

Jen was ordained in the United Church of Christ in 2005, has served two congregations, and in 2014 followed the call to provide spiritual and emotional support for folks preparing for the end of this life, and for those who love them.  Chaplain Jen is currently employed by Virginia Mason Franciscan Hospice and primarily serves folks in Gig Harbor, Key Peninsula and Port Orchard.

Jen has a daughter named Morgan and son-in-law, Kent, who reside in Seabeck with Jen’s Mom, Marta, and Stepdad, Ken (aka “Paw”). Jen lives in Silverdale with her companion Chihuahua, Ro. In addition to enjoying time with loved ones and in her healing ministry, Jen enjoys being near the water, walking/hiking, listening to music and singing, traveling, meditation, solitude, sharing ideas, and continued learning about this sacred, truly mysterious, and miraculous multiverse we all get to live in together for a while.
