Christian Education: Adult Programs
A variety of Christian Education programs are offered during the year. When the church was closed during the Covid pandemic, a series of classes were conducted on Tuesday morning, thanks to the wonders of Zoom. Classes continue to be offered occasionally during the week on Zoom.
Several members facilitate these classes: Rev. Mary Raine, a retired Presbyterian Minister; Charnley Ann Marsden; and Courtney Hashimoto, and others. An educational series is held during Lent at after-worship soup and bread luncheons. In 2024, the topic was the situation in Palestine, led by our seminary intern Micah Buff.
Topics include traditional Bible study, book reviews, and justice issues such as transgender acceptance, Native Americans in the Pacific Northwest, Asian Americans. Occasional field trips enhance the study.
