Mark Boyd
Mark Boyd has served the PNC Conference for 15 years. 3 Years at Pilgrim Firs 2009-2011, 10 Years at N-Sid-Sen 2012-2022 and returned to Pilgrim Firs in Dec 2022. While in that role he is also served on the (OMA) Outdoor Ministries Association of the United Church of Christ Board of Directors for 2 terms. Mark has been involved in ecumenical camp gatherings including leadership in Focus Events and other national camp events. Mark has been a connection point between other NW camps and OMA, including Mimanagish, Pilgrim Cove, Camp Adams and Pilgrim Firs and others.
Mark is a northwest native born in MT Home Idaho and raised in the Puget Sound area. Mark has spent much time outdoors, including a 3-month stint in the Olympic Mountains.
He served as the Youth Minister of the United Churches of Olympia for 11 years. Mark directed all church retreats for the Olympia church and confirmation camps for the conference at Pilgrim Firs prior to directing Jr High camps at Pilgrim Firs for multiple years. Mark and his wife Julie also volunteered as staff at N-Sid-Sen for Family Camp 1 where they quickly grew to love the site and the work. Mark, Julie and their 4 children spent many delightful summers at both N-Sid-Sen and Pilgrim Firs.
He has preached at multiple churches in the PNCUCC including, The United Churches of Olympia, Chewelah UCC, Colville UCC, Newport UCC, Veradale UCC, Ritzville UCC, Westminster UCC, Shalom UCC, Cheney UCC, Walla Walla UCC, Pullman UCC all in Washington. He has also preached at Wallace UCC in Idaho.
